Hi... over at DragonsDream Tag It On, my design team have excelled themselves with their entries for our lastest challenge - Alice and the Rabbit Situation, lead this fortnight, by May.Why not visit the blog to see their creations, be inspired, and join in!! The work on their own blogs is WELL worth a visit too...
So what did I come up with? Well, the recipe calls for Alice, the Rabbit and a situation. I dreamed the rabbit hole, swirling round, and all the consequences of Alice following the rabbit down... so I envisaged all the characters spilling out of the book as the rabbit reads....
The rabbit is minding his own business, when a great gallumphing girl begins to drift out of the pages. To follow are lots of other images, characters rising up and out of the book to have their own adventures...
Here he is in close up! I have used the My Craft Studio disc images, as I don't possess any Alice stamps. Awww!!! I fussy cut him out then made a decal-scissors-cut black shadow to make him stand out. The book image is decoupaged
This pic shows a GIANT Alice, slowly drifting from the book, so much bigger than all the rest...
Here you can see a corner of my background. I created this from Tim Holtz stamps and distress inks. embossed with clear ep - well, when don't I??!! I used the new specialty matte coated stamping paper and it is FABULOUS!! However, I think it is rather expensive per sheet and therefore too much to use for an "ordinary" project... I just needed to have a play with it!!
This one shows the twins off as they emerge, and how the watch and the tea and cards just keep moving outwards from the page, as the rabbit looks on - rather wistfully I thought??
Hope you are liking the 3D quality of this tag, and the texture used... I love how the colours have blended together, creating a garish dream-like backdrop...
Here is the whole thing again, then. I am very pleased with how it turned out and more especially how wonderfully well my design team members have given us their interpretations... do go and have a ickle look at the Dream blog, you won't regret it!!
Thanks for looking and leaving comments. I value every one, and they certainly keep me going when my pain is bad!!
Love and Light

WOYWW #164 - Good Week Getting better!!
Hello Hoppers of the world!! Snoopers of the world unite on this, yet ANOTHER Wednesday, to peer and ogle, and yes!! covert (well I admit to it anyway!!!!) the stuff on desks all over the place. All courtesy of the chief deskarian, Julia... be whisked away on soft zephyrs here...
So how has the week treated you?? Hope you have been ok. I am walking with my friend BlackDragon, whose dear grandad died this week.... peace BD
And how am I??? well, feeling a bit better with this sun and bright light all day... serotonin levels rising a bit now, with the lamp and the real thing!!! Hands are about to be done on Thursday - OH!!!! HELP!!!! I HATE it!!!! It is SOOO painful, but better when they settle!!! So it just has to be faced... and just realised it's tomoz!!! Ugggh!!!
And crafting?? Well, I finished the book and started another, this time for our cruise memories of a couple of years ago... pics later. I have also worked on a commission - a bracelet for a teacher pressie. I did the chain threaded through with stretch cord one, with turquoise chips and beads, with silver tone findings and charms... you should tell me what you think?? I hope she likes it!! So here we go with the pics then. Hope you enjoy..
Desk as of 23.20 Tuesday evening. The two books are really fun to make and I always enjoy working with my beads... They are in a handy tray, cos I cheated and beaded outside in the sun!!!! Good stuff, eh??
This tray is really useful, but it's actually the lid of the box you have seen on my desk before, to take photos on...
The bracelet turned out quite pretty... might have to make myself one... easy technique too... simples
Here is the book from last week and the new one for the cruise photos... don't know what I will use the first one for, just LOVED the papers and the making... so here are a couple of spreads...
And this is the front cover of the cruise book. I have used Tim Holtz Destinations stack and Kaiser Craft Check In... plus a couple of papers from other collections which suit the scheme of things... I am LOVIN' it... can't wait to print and mount the pics... the pockets are big enough for ickle booklets on a theme eg Santorini...
LOVE the closure too... it's G45 small keyhole plate with a Tim Holtz clock key. The chain is fastened at the back and clips into the key handle. I have punched a Vintaj long tag with the word "cruise" and filled it with a Vintaj patina to make it pop!! A couple of pages follow...
And finally, the back cover with the other half of the Destinations paper. I am loving the suitcase paper for the spine too...Here you can see that I made a hole and fitted a metal eyelet, through which I added the chain. It all went together very well.
So that's about it from me this time. I loved visiting you all last week and look forward to seeing your comments again this time. Thanks and welcome to those new followers who have joined my journey recently. I am so flattered and proud that you find my blog and work worth a visit or two
