Tagged Again!! Still in the Liu Garden
Beryl has tagged me again, and so I have shared with you two more images of this fantastic garden called The Lingering Garden. Below is a moon gate, and lower still, shows part of the lake and the whisteria, which was in full bloom when we were there in April. Thanks for looking. xx

Two Moos through the arched window
Here is my answer to Rainbow Lady's latest challenge this week - window/windows. I decided to do a pair of moos, and to mount them into a gothic arch-shaped window. The background paper is made by painting card with different colours of glitterglue and swirling them etc... very sparkly and glittery. The moos are 2 tiny ladies I had in some free stamps, painted in H2Os and overprinted with various little stamps from Stamp Addicts.

Tagged!! In the Liu Garden, Suzhou. Hi Pete...
I have been tagged by my lovely friend, Cynthia, Rainbow Lady!! 6th photo in the 6th folder. This brings back so many wonderful memories of our time in China in 2003 - the year of SARS!! I took this one and my beloved Pete is the one in blue, a hat and crossed camera straps, smiling at me, indulgently!!! We were in the Liu Garden in Suzhou - a magical place of moon gates, whisteria and lotus blossoms.
I expect everyone I know has been "done" so I will have to send it round again later!!!
Taa, Cynth...

A Very treasured award!!
This is another FIRST, and therefore it is very special. So far, I know and admire all the peeps who have given me awards, and it is terribly flattering for friends to be so supportive. However, I have never heard from, or met Faye before, so it makes the award special to know that she gave it to me, as a stranger!!
If you would like this one, please help yourself, because I feel you all deserve it, and thanks for the support and inspiration.

ATC - Rondo for Dragonflies in Flight
I love ATCs, so this challenge from Arty Girlz, was right up my little alley!! I used an image from Aspects of Design (The StampMan) and printed it twice -once on card and once onto skrink plastic. I used a Sakura pen to add some colour to the dragonflies, and old paper Distress ink pad to colour the plastic backing, just to take off the whiteness. The backgound paper was a sheet of music, distressed with brushed corduroy and gold Glitz spritz. A couple of brads completed this little offering.

Winter Sports - Let's Stand on One Leg!!
An arch is a 1st for me... This is my entry for the challenge on the Gothic Arches board, here. As you know, I like to try a different angle on things!! The image is from Joanna Sheen's Oriental Dreams CD, and the background is created by spraying with Glimmer Mists and overprinting with alcohol inks - seems this has become a fav technique at the moment!! The snow is Fluffy stuff and the arch is finished off with a Sakura silver Pentouch line around the edge. I really enjoyed it, and will definitely try more of these arch challenges.

Oriental Poppy
This card began life in my mind when I looked at the new Joanna Sheen Cottage Garden CD. The stamp for the main image is an Aspect of Design, from the StampMan, but I have forgotten where the other poppy images came from (front and back plate) I painted with Twinkling H2Os, which I have not used for a time, and used the Cut n Dry to fade colour into the edges and corners, in worn lipstick Distress ink. I mounted it on red mirri board and the crease card is a lovely poppy red.
The backing paper, with large poppy seedheads printed in stone grey Stazon, was created with Glimmer Mists, overprinted with alcohol inks - yep!! I got them ALL involved in this one!! So it really shimmers and sparkles, but does not show on the scan... The other paper is from the CD and it wraps round the back. The main image here, on the backer, is printed in the stone grey Stazon, on shiny card from Stamp Addicts... a must have in anyone's stash I reckon.

2 awards - Thanks Christine
My good friend Christine has given me these 2 awards, and I am so pleased. Please have a look at her blog, as she is very talented. She is so generous in her comments and has been a "follower" of mine for a long time, giving me such confidence and such a BUZZ!!! Thanks so much, Christine xx
Oriental Red Flower
Xin nian kuaile - Happy New Year.
Here is an oriental flower from Stamps Happen, stamped and embossed on to acetate. I have used alcohol inks to paint in some colour, but the main feature is the gold foiling behind the image. Quite dramatic, I think.
The whole card is mounted on to light brown Bazzill Basics orange peel cardstock, and the crease card is red BB. The backer has the same stamped image on to the red mirri and embossed with clear ep. I made a small tile and triple embossed it with the flower stamp, so that it matched the image underneath.... Gong xi fa cai - Wishing you Prosperity.
