A Birthday Gift and Miranda's Inspiration Book

Hi all... popping in with some photos of the Inspiration Book I have made for my daughter... I showed a few pages before, but now it is all finished and I hope she likes it... I made the finishing tags yesterday (as I write) and I was so pleased with them... will point them out as we go... so, grab a coffee or a cuppa and take a browse with me... but first...

This is a mask I made for my lovely friend Cynthia, Rainbow Lady. It was her birthday and she loves the colour purple and masks... I used a couple of techniques in friendly plastic, then added some beads and this gorgeous big flower... It is very different from anything else I have made, so it was great fun... It was all attached to a paper former - not clever enough to do it without yet!!!

This is the book cover, then. The theme is generally butterflies, for new life, flights of fancy and dreamy colours etc... The paper is from the Mariposa stack and I have added some little dobs of glitter. Most of these flowers are bought, but there is one of mine, plus some beads and buttons... a lock and key are hanging from the closure, plus a couple of other charms...

The three photos above are of the first full page spread and the inside, square tag... The middle tags are shown on the back too...

Above is one of the two new tags I mentioned earlier. I only had the birdcage this week and I knew I would love it - it punches out so beautifully, as they all do from Sir Tim. The saying is one of his, from the QVC mini set, bought for me, secretly, by the family!!!  Here the bird is caged, but below, he has flown up and away and sits on a tree with his mate... very significant...

Below is a time tag, the partner to the previous one and it's square, all about dreaming and imagining...

Below is the next full page spread, using stamps from Elusive Images, distressed with victorian velvet and spun sugar...

Next is another full page spread, with the other brand new tag I was so pleased with!!! It uses the UMount sewing set, and I have added the little cage from Sir Tim, which fits into the blank or tag inside etc... it is considerably smaller than the first one and the bird is smaller too... he found his way on to the back of the previous birdcage tag, if you noticed...

I wrapped some of the Sir Tim elastic ruffle round to disguise the join with the dress form, and a little flower is the finishing touch. I just LOVE this one and might make one for my own book, but much more grungy!!!

Above is a stamp from Crafty Individuals, but I modified it by cutting out some of the text in the middle to make it into a frame, so I can add words or anything else in the middle... here it was the word "LOVE"

The three pictures above show the last full page spread, and I have added the word "imagine" to my gears and clocks "frame"...

Finally, here is the last page, and those of you you follow my DragonsDream blog challenge will recognise this very last tag on the right... I have cut it down a little, but it fits well here, giving flowers for the butterflies to feed upon!!

Well, I do hope you have got to the bottom with me, in one piece, and not too bored!!! I also hope Miranda likes it... it is pretty rather than grungy, and should be satisfying to browse through.

Thanks for looking, and I shall be posting some of the kittens, soon. Their eyes are opening from last night, so that's fab!!!
Love and Light

Your inspiration book is fabulous!! I have tried to make one myself. I introduced my mothers (grand & great grands) to my daughters (again grands & great grands)to each other. I would love to make another book and try my version some of the beautiful ideas in your book. Thank you for the inspiration.
