A Rainbow Inspired Gothic Arch

This is my answer to my lovely friend, Rainbow Lady's challenge, over on Gothic Arches. We were to use 2 colours, 2 stamps and an inspirational comment. I decided to go pink/violet and purple because she didn't!!! We both love the colour, but she desisted and I have jumped in, lol...

I used bubble gum and rum raisin glimmer mists sprayed on to doubly embossed white card. I used swiss dots and stylised flower, through the Cuttle Bug. The stamps are Aspects of Design, by Kay Carley, from the StampMan and a huge dragonfly from Creative Expressions. The words are from a plate by Butterfly Kisses. I rubbed over the embossing and aged the egdes with a lavender chalk cats eye pad and printed with black onyx versafine, embossed in clear ep. I painted with the same glimmer mists. Sakura pens add touches of sharper colour and shimmer and the whole arch is mounted on a sheet of paper, printed from a Joanna Sheen disc. Loads of lovely texture, I hope she likes it!!!

I also want to enter this one into Mixed Media Monday challenge, which is come fly with me.
I would love to shrink small enough to fly with this dragonfly!!

Boy - Tunnel Of Love!

My grandson... a great reason to keep going!! He was about 3 1/2 years old here, crawling through a tunnel in a fantastic children's playground. I loved the swirls in this photo, and so I have made it into an artsy piece by using chalk inks, direct to paper, to extend the photo image. I have enhanced the surround by using my new, fabtastic Inktense pencils - superb to work with (this was the first time) in order to build up the colour and texture. The challenge is from Sunday Stamper, at Ink on my Fingers, boy/boys. The stamps are swirls and words from a UMount plate, and my crooked heart from Hero Arts. A dash of glitter glue finishes off the edges. Thanks for looking - he loved that I was doing this while he crafted here with me... he is now nearly 5, and a GREAT stamper in the making!!!

Face to Face -

I really enjoyed doing this one!! I have thrown the kitchen sink at it to make an aged-looking collage!! I used a myriad of Egyptian stamps, distress inks, chalks, and a flourish screen, and I surrounded the lady image (which had to be used for the challenge) with some tiny embellishments, which have small seed pearls in pink and blue, from my stash. The Challenge was from Art Creation Friday, so thanks to them...
