WOYWW #100 - Interesting New Stuff

Well, a bit blurred but shows the bruises, eh??!! This is my left one on my thumb and I moved the camera a bit, but you get the idea!!! They are both improving, however and I am just beginning to manage a little crafting... but my desk is much the worse for wear!!!

So this is my prep for the next project... I am making foam stamps from all my TH dies... the birdcage above was stamped out twice... I experimented adding part of the wing to the bird, and it seems to work quite well....

So I added redline tape to the back of my foam and then put it through Valentine Vagabond!!

As you can see with the birdie, I put it on one of the pieces of acrylic that the Fragrant Freddie found for me, but I don't have enough for all the stamps - the tape sticks it permanently of course - and I don't have pieces large enough, so I did what Sir T!m said at Christmas, and used the packaging backing, as you can see with the clock, here...

This closeup shows how well the stamps stamp, as I just did this quickly, and on scrap paper... I am LOVIN this technique,'cos I love stampin and this allows me to stamp with my dies... I have even cut out the umbrella man, yippee... I have used an on the edge die with little fleur de lys, the Iron Gate, on my TIO project, so you can see how well this stamps if you look here at the finished project ... If you are wondering why I am showing you my tartily untidy desk, go and have a look at the blog of the wonderful Julia, at Stamping Ground.

Thanks everso for coming over and looking, and leaving me a comment... I had some wonderful visits last week, and appreciate all the well wishes for my aforementioned hands... Hope you have a great week, and hope to see you shortly over at your own!!
Love and light
Frankie

Wow, Frankie, this is one totally amazing post. I love that you are making stamps out of foam and your dies. They DO stamp well, don't they? I hope you are better soon, so I don't have to come over and organize your workspace (grin). Happy WOYWW from # 6.

You've really got a good excuse to be untidy and it's amazing that you are managing to craft at all. Well done and I hope you are back 100% in action soon.

Love your stamps, might just have to give it a try myself now I have seen how wonderfully your stamp. Thanks for the idea and the great snoop.

I wish your hands ALL BETTER 'cuz I wanna see more art out of them! *G* I love this idea of using your dies to create custom stamps - the ability to interplay with "shadowed" die cut, etc., is very interesting.....

Oh em gee frankie your poor hands...I hope the bruising is the worst of it now and you can get back to 'normal'. Ow. As for your foam stamps..I don't know what makes me more jealous - the umber of dies you've got or the way the stamps came out so well!

You have definitely been busy this week cutting out all the stamps. The few I have cut out I mounted on ezmount foam so that I could move them around. I need to find that clock die! Thanks for sharing. Vickie aka okienurse #36

Ooooh, that looks painful. Blooming marvellous of you to keep crafting in the circumstances and you can always have a wee tidy up when your hand is healed. The foam stamps you made have worked really well. Have a great week. Elizabeth x #38
